INTUITIVE ABSTRACT PAINTING: 1 Day Introduction 29 June

Course Description:
In this introductory workshop, we will be exploring ways to tap into our creative 'instincts' and develop a more spontaneous and intuitive approach to art-making.
Learning to let go and enjoy the immediacy of the creative process, without thinking too much about the end result, was how I began my own journey into abstract painting.
I will introduce a range of fun and energetic exercises using mixed media, (charcoal, pastels, pencils, inks and acrylics, etc) aimed at stimulating that 'instinctive' response.
You'll produce multiple pieces of work over the day, and whilst there will be an opportunity to develop a piece in more depth during the afternoon, most of the work you take away may be considered 'beginnings' or inspiration for future work.
By the end of the day, I hope you will have some new tools and a greater confidence to develop your own unique intuitive voice.
All levels are very welcome.
Perhaps you would like to delve into abstract painting but are not sure where to start... or are you looking for new ideas to invigorate your current practice? Either way, I believe everyone has their own unique creative instinct to draw upon which doesn't require formal art training - we will be moving away from rules and the notion of right or wrong in this workshop - the only requirement is to turn up and enjoy the creative process!
I aim to provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where I hope you will feel at ease to create freely. Groups are small with a maximum of four students per workshop, so you'll receive plenty of one to one support.

A minimum of 2 week's notice (prior to course start date) must be given to enable a refund on your course booking. Cancellation within less than 2 weeks prior to the course date will therefore not be refunded. However, in the event I am able to fill your place, a refund will be made.
Should I need to cancel the course myself (due to unforseen circumstances or not having the required number to run), I will aim to give as much notice as possible. You will be offered an alternative course date or refund.
